A Birthday Celebration

Summer is going great! Yesterday we celebrated my oldest daughter, Robyn's birthday with a fun dinner party that Rachael (my youngest) and I planned for her.  We ate at hattie's, in the Bishop Arts District in Dallas.  It never disappoints.  We always start dinner off with their fabulous tomato bisque, and mini grilled cheese sandwiches.  Then, for dinner our favorite is the catfish.  
   

No birthday dinner would be complete without birthday cake, so after a lovely dinner, we retired to the house for coffee and cake.  What are some of your family birthday traditions?
