Preparing for Winter
Our "little elves" have been hard at work. We are gearing up for the Winter Break. Please practice with your student during this time off to further prepare them for the "New Year" 2011! We need extra help with sentences. First grade has the expectation that we can write 3 legible, correct and comprehensive sentences on our own when we enter First grade. We can use this holiday time to practice with all the traditions and fun families have together...write about it! Math continues with ordinal numbers, addition, subtraction, numerals and sets. As always reading 20 minutes "to, by and with" per night must continue also.
Our class was very giving to the Nursing home we gave 70 items and $7.35 to them. We were not the field trip winners, but winners in giving to others. Thank you for participating.
Each child, each day, success!
